From the creative and relevant life changing messages, to the concentrated worship experience, to the excellence found in all our ministries, Hope La Vernia is a place where you can belong. We are committed to reaching the un-churched, working and eating together, equipping people for successful Christian living, and empowering people for service, to worship God —much like the early church (Acts 2:42–47).

Our Story

After the loss of their second child by miscarriage, God placed in Pastor Bobby and Lisa's hearts the desire to give birth to a baby church. It was from here that he and his family founded Hope La Vernia in La Vernia, Texas, and God strategically brought together a team of people committed to the task of developing and growing a church.

In August 2002, Hope La Vernia began in a home with 17 people in attendance. On January 5, 2003, Hope La Vernia held its first public worship service in the La Vernia Primary School, and celebrated with the official dedication of the church on March 30, 2003.  Since then, Hope La Vernia has purchased 15.1 acres at the corner of Hwy 87 and FM 1346, and efforts have been underway in preparation for our first building phase.  We are eager to occupy our property very soon, but in the meantime we continue to meet Sundays at 10:30 am at the La Vernia Primary School.
